Quick Gallery Question.

Hi

After talking to my colleague at work who chose you randomly and gave you good feedback, I decided to have a deeper look.

I have now decided to change from my current webhost to you but have a couple of questions.

I run gallery and it took me quite a while to set it up on my current host.

The question is, can I use gallery if I go with you and if so which would be the easiest method to transfer all the pictures currently there. I can change my dns server quite easily, I use zoneedit - but would probably use yours.

Any comments/help/assistance in getting at least the pictures transferred would be great. I can zip/rar the files and download them easily.

I can answer part of your question. Not only can you use Gallery here, but you can install it automatically with Installatron! You can have a Gallery up and running within minutes, with no uploading for the initial setup, here at HostPC.

Someone else will probably answer the Gallery-migration question better than I can, because I've never migrated my galleries from another provider.

I haven't migrated from another provider, but I did move Gallery from the old Ensim based servers to the new Direct Admin servers.

I've had good results with moving folders full of pictures and getting Gallery to recognize them.

You should need to do little more than set up Gallery on your HostPC account, and then in the appropriate (albums) folder, transfer the contents of your current albums folder/s in. Then open Gallery, log in and administer as necessary (you may have to wait for DNS to resolve for this to work correctly).
