Unread/read Messages

Is anyone else having the problem of this board not keeping messages that you've read, marked read? Often I'll login, read a message, come back the next day and find that same thread marked as new/unread and find there are no new posts.

I have noticed that, too. New messages still show as "new" on a return visit within the same day. Considering the light traffic here, it never struck me as a big issue.

It does happen from time to time, but I've noticed it mostly when I've switched between my home and work computers.

So far it hasn't been too annoying, nor has it been consistent (at least I haven't found a true pattern yet).

yup - I've noticed that too. And it's something particular to this one. I have my own IPB board and it works fine, and I participate daily on two others and they're all fine. I don't know what's "different" about this one.

And it doesn't seem to matter which computer I use (with any of those boards mentioned above)

I just disproved my own theory.

It just happened on the same computer a few hours apart, though I deleted my cookies in between.
