I'm new to all of this so sorry if this has been asked, or is just a stupid question, but I searched the forum and couldn't find the answer.

So, once I set up e-mail on my site, is that for my eyes only, or can anyone here at hostpc look at it too? If I have people that want to send/receive mail but wish to have privacy, what guarantee do they have that no one is going to be looking in on their conversations?

Thanks.

you set up a password protected account it is for your eyes only. The root user of the server can probably get at it if they need to since they can get at absolutely everything since the root user has God-privledges, but I would guess it would be a pretty serious situation that would require the root user to look at an emails contents.

In 4 years, I have never looked at another users e-mail, unless they have either instructed me to, or forwarded something to me.

I don't even look at my WIFES e-mail on her computer.

You have my word, no one here will ever be "spying" or reading your e-mails. Hell, we rarely even look at the users site contents, unless there's an issue.
