Be aware that the results will not always exactly match the actual Google toolbar...but it is a decent indicator. Also be aware PR != high return rank when queried.

It may be because I just woke up but what do you mean?

A high PR doesn't necessarily mean that a page will appear high in search results - at least that's my interpretation.
Here's a backup resource:

Word on the street has it that these scripts depend on a hack of Google's checksum algorithm which changes every six months or so.
Anyone have a clue about the code behind these scripts?

I don't have any clue...but this guy (http://www.markhorrell.com/seo/) might very well. Scroll to the bottom of the page for info on the Google algorithm, and maybe info on the script behind the calculator pages.

Yes, that is what I mean. You are far better off aiming for high ranking in search results than worrying about PageRank. Google Search Algo has been undergoing pretty substantial changes on a very regular basis lately as they try to weed out word spammers and various other sites that probably shouldn't get high returns but do anyway...
PageRank will not bring you more visitors, high return ratings will...

This one is a bit different:
How does it work? You enter a keyword that your interested in VIA the "Keywords" section. You then enter the amount of pages your want to Check in Google and finally you enter the Pagerank limit that you want the tool to find. The tool will then report all websites that are listed in Google for your keyword within the specified pagedepth that have "x" amount of pagerank or more. You set the pagerank limit in the Rank Limit column.
Have Fun!
