Would you consider setting up some majordomo lists to notify of outages and server events? I was thinking it would make sense to set up one list for each server. Those who want to be notified of an outage/event on their box can subscribe to the list for their box.
Before my sage fellow clients point it out, I realize that sometimes the outage will affect the box on which the list resides, thus rendering real-time notification via the list impossible. I get that! :rolleyes: In such cases, the notification can go out after the fact.
Maybe the notification need be nothing more than emailing the thread with details from the forum to the appropriate list(s).
