I was trying to install awstats on my new DA account, and ran into a snag. I was unable to find the directory which contained the raw apache logs. The only way to reach them was through the control panel, which wouldn't do me and awstats any good. So I inquired at the DA forum (http://www.directadmin.com/forum) and received the following.
The apache logs are stored in:
/var/log/httpd/domains/domain.com.log
/var/log/httpd/domains/domain.com.error.log
You *might* have permission to view them (no gurantees), but that would be the easiest solution.
I'm not figuring we have any sort of permission to view this directory, but would there be any chance? I would assume a sym link would be set up, but I have no idea about the permissions issues that may arise. (of course, now looking again at the quote, I see that all log files for the server are in the same directory, this seems like it makes things more difficult)
