View Full Version : SMTP Authorization
Will the new DA servers require SMTP Authorization? Some of my users are still using old versions of Outlook which doesn't support it... (I know, I know - they really need to upgrade, but I don't think they will for awhile ...)
Thanks
I guess if I'd read the instructions at site-helper I would have known...
When setting up POP3 account(s) in your e-mail software, you will need to enable SMTP authentication if you choose to use your hosting account for sending mail (instead of using your ISP's mail server).
Well... ISP's right and left are blocking access to external SMTP servers for their consumer level customers.
I know Cableone.Net just did this for all Non-Business accounts and many others are following suit.
Not directly related to your post... but something to be aware of.

I have been using it. dbx viewer (http://www.oemailrecovery.com/dbx-viewer.html) and dbx file recovery (http://mail-repair.com/mailbox-restore.html) more stable and secure than other programs.
