phpBB question

Is it possible to install phpBB without having the site nameservers in place? I wanted to try to have everything running without moving the nameserver records so I can test to make sure everything is going to work. I also wanted this to be the default www page without having to do sitename.com/phpBB. Is this possible?

I?ve tried to setup phpBB but keep getting a message saying the directory doesn?t exist.

no..phpbb won't function till propagation is complete

you can do a redirect to redirect into your phpbb folder...however if you want your main page to be phpbb...why not just install it in the main directory
