We've had several people ask for it, so we're proud to announce a MultiSite package for our users. The Multi-Site packages will be available starting on Friday, July 25, 2003.

Q. What is a "Multi-Site" account?
A. Several clients asked about hosting multiple domains in their webspace. This package is essentially a small "reseller" account. It gives you the ability to add up to 3, or 5 different domain names to your account, depending on the package you choose.

Q. What is the benefit of a "Multi-Site" account ?
A. You can add new domains (for family/friends) to your account and set the bandwdith/disk space accordingly, as you prefer. This allows you to add sites, change quotas to match what you need for each account.

Q. Do you give support for "Multi-Site" accounts?
A. Yes! You'll still enjoy HostPC's unparalled support on all domains!

Q. How much are they?
A. Here's a breakdown

MultiSite3 (http://www.hostpc.com/billing/signup.php?clienttype=5&package=24)
350 MB Disk Space
5 GB Bandwidth
100 POP3 Email accounts
Up to THREE domains (registration not included)
$6.99/month
$19.99/quarter
$69.90/yr

MultiSite5 (http://www.hostpc.com/billing/signup.php?clienttype=5&package=25)
600 MB Disk Space
10GB Transfer
200 POP3 E-Mail accounts
$9.99/month
$29.95/quarter
$99.90/yr

These prices are subject to change, however, if you sign up at this price, your price will never increase. You're "grandfathered". If the price goes down, you'll be adjusted accordingly.

Q. Can I change my existing account to a "Multi-Site" account?
A. Yes, a provision will exist in our order form for existing clients wishing to take advantage of this. More details on 7/25.

If you have any questions, we'll be happy to answer them in this thread, or via the helpdesk.

Thanks - we're glad we can continue to offer services to fit your needs!

this is good news.

I have a question:
Will the multi-sites plans be available during any upcoming 2 for 1 sales? (I think I heard Labor Day might be the next time...)

I would figure disk quota and bandwidth would be doubled while Domains would remain at 3 or 5 per account...?

That hasn't been decided yet, but "probably".

There was a short delay in getting MultiSites setup correctly, and I wanted to wait until our credit card services were fully in place.

We now accept payments via all credit cards, OR paypal ... you are no longer limited to JUST paypal (although it is our preferred method of payment).

We'll have MultiSites online this weekend.

Thanks for your patience.

MulitSites are now LIVE...

There are some things we just couldn't code into the signup process, so they need a little explanation. We don't have all the pages coded yet, but the signup process, and the setup is there... now to build the pretty stuff around it. It's usable, just not pretty yet.

Here's some things you'll need to know.

1) If you're a NEW customer - you can signup with the links in the first post:

MultiSites3: http://www.hostpc.com/billing/signup.php?c...pe=5&package=24 (http://www.hostpc.com/billing/signup.php?clienttype=5&package=24)

MultiSites5: http://www.hostpc.com/billing/signup.php?c...pe=5&package=25 (http://www.hostpc.com/billing/signup.php?clienttype=5&package=25)

Just sign up with your "master" domain name in the "domain name" spot on the main page. We'll get the custom order, and set it up appropriately.

2) If you're upgrading from a current account, you'll need to order the new account, then submit a Helpdesk (http://helpdesk.hostpc.com) ticket, with your OLD subscription number, as well as your new payment id... we'll cancel the old (prorated if necessary) and change the records.

Also, our new payment processor is online, and working VERY smoothly. Paysystems is an alternative to Paypal, and accepts all major credit cards. We still prefer paypal, but for those of you uncomfortable with Paypal, now you can use Paysystems as an alternative.

If you have any questions -we're available in irc.hostpc.com #hostpc or you can ask here.

Thanks - we continue to grow to serve you better!
