I got this msg. in my email from the hotmail staff today.

Big News: Free Storage increase to 250MB
FREE 250MB of storage capacity is coming to your MSN Hotmail e-mail account. We are increasing your online storage to 250MB—that’s over 100 times the storage you have now.

That’s not all we are also increasing your attachment size from 1MB to 10MB! This means that you can send and receive more messages without worrying about available storage space. You’ll be able to see party photos, hear new songs and watch video clips that your friends e-mail to you.

You may already have your increased storage—look for this upgrade to your account, between now and the end of November.

Just thought you guys would like to know what they're doing with the free email accounts is all. They must be trying to keep up with other free email providers. Especially with the relatively new gmail.

This was announced in August, but they just got around to upgrading my account last week. I know of other people who got upgraded around Labor Day. :angry:

The 2 MB mailbox was never enough to contain all of the spam that my Hotmail account attracts, even with the filters.

I know I get alot of crap in my hotmail but don't seem to get any spam in my other email accts. that I have. I thought it was just because I had used that one more in the past. Even when I block certain email addresses they still get thru.

I got the upgrade months ago, but my dad just noticed the upgrade in size last week...who knows what's up with that. maybe it's because I was in with hotmail long before MS owned them. Way back then it was HoTMaiL.
