my wife and I are trying to ship about 80 pacakges via fedex tonight, but their web based shipping center is just unbearably slow for us, and has been most of the day.

I'm not having issues with other sites, well Yahoo mail was a bit slow, but I can't find any server or systems status with fedex.com so I can't tell if the problem is just on my end.

A tracert doesn't look great, but it's not much better to HostPC, even though the forum is quick.

Anyone else care to tracert or login at fedex to see if they have a similar issue? I'd hate to think it's all me, which is probably isn't, it's probably RoadRunner.

thanks if anyone can help.

thevillageinn, tracert isn't working from my PC or from http://www.dnsstuff.com/

The website comes up but does seem a little slow. I am on Comcast.

well that's promising that it's not just me.

thanks for the response!

Dan, I use Fedex.com too. They did some upgrades 10 days ago that took the site offline for most of that Saturday - right when I wanted to do some shipping. :(

Maybe the added features from the upgrade are slowing it down? Maybe they're doing some more weekend work on the site?

typical of convenient online sites. everything is great until you really need it, at an odd time, and then everything breaks down.

good to know about the upgrades. that might account for the reason that the fedex site got a lot better suddenly last night, but my connectivity was still a bit spotty.

I'm still having weird connectivity issues. I'm about to cycle my modem...maybe it'll help? RR isn't particularly forthcoming about slow downs, of which I have relatively few anyway.
