View Full Version : Just A Thought On Advertising Host Pc

I read in a previous post that Host PC doesn't really do advertising but relies on word of mouth. As advertising does cost $$$ and you offer a great low cost service with outstanding support, word of mouth is probably all you need. However, as I was reading, I had this little idea. :)

Just a thought... You could offer a "small" discount to your customers who will add a link to you on the bottom of the index page of the sites they build. Or maybe offer an extra perk chosen from a small selection of perks, composed by you of course. That way it can be their choice and you could get a little "low cost" or "no cost" advertisement out of it. Create a smaller .gif or .jpg so that it is noticable but not grossly obvious. Still, large enough to make a couple of "hold their attention" points. I took 10 quick minutes and made this .jpg just as an example. What can I say? It's a slow day here in hillbilly land. hehe

Of course the online site builder isn't currently available but if it should become available...well, you get the point I'm sure.

nice thought, but then the hard part would be monitoring all the sites to make sure they didn't just pull it down right after their discount went in to effect

Maybe give those people a "frame forward" domain and then HostPC controls the contents of the frame. Oh, wait, those are easy to get rid of too...hmmm

Isn't there some type of link detecting program(lol) Joe could use? I don't know what it might be called. LOL Just excuse that part of the comment. Haha

Yeah, thats true, he keeps asking me to write an affiliate script for him...I should really do that one of these days...

Jeez I am getting sick of this career of coding, I need to figure out what I wanna do when I grow up.
